Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) in Scope

“Your area is currently in our plans to be upgraded with Fibre to the Premises (FTTP), however we follow a different design and build process for FTTP so you won’t see updates at each stage. Once the engineering work is completed there is a commissioning period of up to eight weeks before an order can be placed. When you are able to place an order you will see the Accepting Orders message.”

From Openreach:

“We are exploring the option of “flipping” this technology and deploying Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) to the area served by cabinet 24, if we do decide to do this there will be no additional cost to yourself, you will be glad to know.  However we will not know for certain if this is the case until later on this year, although the checker site is currently showing FTTP as being planned.”

Field Survey Stage

You’re scheduled to be upgraded and we’re surveying your area to make sure our initial fibre plans will work in your community.

You can’t order a fibre service today but typically it’ll be available to your premises within the next nine months.

The (BT) Openreach fibre journey indicator has updated.

Hello everyone,

The (BT) Openreach fibre journey indicator has updated on the Openreach website: here . The status changed from: We’re exploring solutions to Design.

“You’re in a fibre plan and we’re looking at the existing network in your area to see how we will design the upgrade.

You can’t order a fibre service today but typically it’ll be available to your premises within the next 12 months.”
